ActiveX security check page


A number of ActiveX controls have made it into the "wild" that pose security risks to users. These controls can be used by the "bad guys" to create malicious Web pages and Email messages to run programs or steal private information from your PC when using Internet Explorer, Outlook, or Outlook Express.

For the "extreme" risk ActiveX control listed below, it is possible to "drop" a virus, delete files from the hard disk, or install a spying program when the malicious page is viewed in Internet Explorer. These same ActiveX controls can also be misused in HTML-based Email messages in Outlook and Outlook Express.
